About this site
Korean Alphabet is a free reference and practice site for the korean alphabet β every character with native audio, animated stroke order and the everyday words that use it.
Where the content comes from
The characters, stroke order and example words come from the same reviewed dataset that powers the Learn Korean Alphabet mobile app. Stroke order is hand-checked against reference material rather than traced automatically from a font, and every example word is verified to actually contain the character it sits under.
Audio
Character and word audio is recorded natively where available. When a clip is missing the page simply says so β it will not substitute a different sound.
The practice app
The practice app is the full mobile app running in your browser: handwriting canvas with stroke scoring, quizzes, listening drills, spaced repetition and progress tracking. Nothing is uploaded β your progress is stored locally in your browser.

Found a mistake?
Pronunciation, stroke order and translations are reviewed but not infallible. Report anything that looks wrong to zachsong@gmail.com and it will be checked against the source data.
Other alphabets
This site is part of a series covering scripts from Thai to Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi and more β same lessons, one alphabet per site.
